Timeline For Classic Pebble Watches is Coming!
Ever since Pebble launched the Pebble Time—along with the new version of the software, they have been promising that the new software will eventually come to the original versions of the watch. Most notably, people have been anxiously awaiting the much-vaulted timeline feature of Pebble OS 3 to be made available.
Well, today that promise came much nearer to reality when Pebble announced that they are now accepting beta testers for Timeline for the classic Pebbles. They also announced that the public launch is following "later this month".
The timeline is a feature that places all your upcoming appointments and notifications in a continually scrollable interface. You can scroll forward in time by pressing the down button, and view past events by pressing the up button. You can allow select applications to pin item to your timeline so, for, instance, you can see notifications of upcoming games or past scores in the timeline.
Perhaps the even better news is that the new software will dispense with the eight watchface/app limit that users of the classic Pebbles have been dealing with. I always assumed the limit was one of memory, but Pebble promises that you will now be able to install as many apps and faces as your watch memory will allow. That's great!
